Do sulphate-reducing bacteria have cold feet?

Theme
Wastewater Treatment

Summary
Sulfate reducing bacteria (SRB) are naturally present and active in wastewater treatment plants. It turns out that SRB can also be used for the benefit, among other things to reduce sludge production. This study investigated whether SRB can operate at low temperatures with municipal waste water and limiting sulphate loads.
